Group Exercise Class Descriptions



Cardio Blast
- This class is what it says and that’s a power packed aerobic conditioning class that is guaranteed to burn calories and burn body fat while energizing your muscles to a higher cardio standard.

Core Cardio Fusion- This class is a fun challenging mix of yoga postures, strength moves with dumbbells and bands, balance moves and plyometrics combined with a bosu balance ball or therapy ball. Prior exercise experience is recommended, but not necessary.

Healthways SilverSneakers Cardio Fit - Cardiovascular exercise is the highlight of the class. The class features upper body strength workouts using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and the Healthways SilverSneaker's ball. Non-impact aerobic activity is included. Members addressing cardio and respiratory ailments will find the exercises safe and effective for both the heart and lungs. A chair is available for support and head-to-toe stretching. (Class for Healthways SilverSneakers members only.)

Healthways SilverSneakers Muscular Strength - This class offers something for everyone regardless of fitness level. It can help improve strength, flexibility and balance resulting in your ability to stay healthy and maintain your independence. The instructor guides you through exercises with resistance tools at your own pace. A chair is available for seated and /or standing support, stretching and relaxation. (Class for Healthways SilverSneakers members only.)

Healthways SilverSneakers Muscular Strength Range of Motion -

This class is for the Senior Adult. This class offers something for everyone, regardless of their fitness level, and can help improve overall strength, flexibility and balance, resulting in your ability to stay healthy and maintain your independence.

Healthways SilverSneakers Yoga - For the Senior Adult to learn gentle, effective stretching that can help maintain flexibility and prevent injury, increasing your muscular endurance and improve muscle tone and help you relax physically and mentally.

Pilates - See your posture improve, stomach and buttocks tone up, legs and arms look leaner as you follow the instructions of this popular program.  Focused breathing is employed to coordinate the abdominal muscles and promote core stability.  This class will help improve your mental and physical well-being as well as flexibility and strength.

Pilates / Yoga Fusion - A combination of Pilates and Yoga techniques, this class will stress core strength, flexibility, balance, and relaxation.

Sculpt - A full body sculpt class using dumbbells / body bars that will tone and sculpt your body to improve strength and endurance levels.

Sculpt / Pump / Sculpt / Condition - This class is a full body sculpt class using dumbbells, body bars, and physio balls that will tone and sculpt your body to improve strength and endurance.

Yoga - Join a Vinyasa style mat class in which movements flow from one to another in conjunction with breath. Breath with movement offers a natural way to reduce stress. This style blends strength, balance and flexibility into a user-friendly style attainable by individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Every individual can build a healthy body and obtain a calmer mind with a safe and effective yoga practice.

Yoga Flow - This class has yoga moves for every body! Participants will link several poses together in a Vinyasa style to create endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. Come join the fun!

Vinyasa Yoga - This yoga is a flow or dance of positions also called postures or sun salutations, synchronized with your breathing. This class is tailored for beginners to advanced participants, allowing you to challenge yourself to your own degree of difficulty.

Zumba - This class is a Low-High Aerobic Dance class combining Latin and International Music with a combination of slow and fast rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.  Come join in the fun while getting in shape!

Zumba Gold - Zumba Gold is for the active adult population. It addresses the anatomical, physiological, and psychological needs specific to the active older adult. This program fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will blow you away. We want you to want to work out, to love working out, and to get hooked.
